Prices appearing very low online — under £40 for a standard property — are typically generated by lead aggregators adding their margin before passing the job to an operative. The contractor who attends may be uninsured and working without professional equipment or documentation. For work that directly affects your property's structural integrity, verifying insurance before booking any contractor is worthwhile.
